isn’t enough evidence that there is something mentally wrong with Eren, you are fuckin blind son.

We still love him even though he is fucked up in the head. So why should it matter?

Because it’s a very significant part of his character, and shouldn’t be looked over. Eren’s whole philosophy is not killing titans to save humanity, but killing solely for revenge. He’s sparked into shifting or taking action by individual moments, not usually when it’s strategically convenient for him to. See Thomas’s death in episode 5, where Eren went into rage mode to pursue the aberrant that killed Thomas, got his leg bitten off, etc. Later, he shifts inside the titan’s stomach after swearing he’ll kill all the titans. He shifts in episode 21 after all of Levi squad has been killed, solely to seek revenge for his fallen comrades. There are times where he does shift according to plan (lifting the boulder, etc) In his titan form, he becomes so consumed with his desire to right the wrongs done to him in his life that he becomes physically and mentally what he’s sworn to kill and has trained three years to learn how to kill.

He takes on a titan-mentality, focusing mainly on killing and, in episode 21, actually consuming his enemy.

You can’t overlook this part of his character simply because ‘we love him’. Love him because this is an excellent, purely ironic part written into his character.
